St. Francis de Sales School Sateek
St. Francis de Sales School, Sateek, was established in response to the request of the village leaders, who had generously donated land for the mission with the hope that their children would receive quality education within their own community.
To fulfil this promise, the Provincial Administration initiated the construction of a temporary school building, and within a short period a structure with seven classrooms was completed. The foundation stone was laid on December 8, 2010, and the school was inaugurated on February 4, 2011, by Fr. Francis Thadathil, then Provincial of the Northeast India Province, and blessed by Most Rev. Stephen Rotluanga, Bishop of Aizawl. The school began with classes from KG to Class III, with Fr. Santhosh serving as the first Headmaster.
As the school grew, the need for better facilities became evident. Consequently, the foundation stone for a new school building was blessed on January 17, 2015, by Fr. George Panthanmackel, the then Provincial. Construction began in May 2015, and the first block of the new building was completed and inaugurated on November 9, 2016.
Since then, the school has continued to grow with the support and trust of the local community, providing quality education and holistic formation to the children of the region.
