Ka Syiem Jingsuk Secondary School, Amalarem
Ka Syiem Jingsuk Secondary School, Amlarem, was originally a small village school until the MSFS established their mission at Amlarem in 1994. When the congregation took over the management of the school, it functioned as an Upper Primary School with fewer than 100 students.
Over the years, the institution has grown steadily both in strength and academic excellence. Today, the school has around 460 students and consistently records 100% results in the Board Examinations. In 2010, the school also produced a State Rank Holder, marking a significant milestone in its academic journey.
The parish also runs Mermier Boys’ Hostel with 25 residents, while the VSDB Sisters manage Ka Syiem Jingsuk Girls’ Hostel with 45 inmates, supporting students from distant areas.
In addition, the parish administers seven schools across the Amlarem Sub-Division, including three secondary schools:
Ka Syiem Jingsuk Secondary School, Amlarem
St. Joseph School, Nongtalang
SFS School, Dawki
These institutions together provide education from LKG to Secondary level and offer employment to around 40 teachers.
Ka Syiem Jingsuk Secondary School celebrated its Silver Jubilee on December 4, 2014, marking 25 years of dedicated service in promoting quality education and instilling values of freedom, justice, and responsibility among the youth of the region.
