On November 25, 2024 St Joseph’s school Manikbond proudly inaugurated its new school building, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards enhancing educational infrastructure. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of His grace Most Rev. Joachim Walder D.D., the Auxiliary Bishop of Aizawl, Barak valley region. Rev. Fr George Poovathunkal, Provincial Councillor in-charge of Education, Rev. Fr Nibin James Pulluvayalil, Associate Director of FAsCE India, esteemed guests, parents, teachers, and students witnessed the event. The new building was inaugurated by Rev. Fr George Poovathunkal, and His grace Most Rev. Joachim Walder D.D., blessed the building. Then it was followed by lighting of the lamp where his Lordship and Fr George were joined by Rev. Fr Nibin James Pulluvayalil Associate director of FAsCE India, teacher representative and student representative that brightened the day. It was followed by a short and exciting cultural program, put up by the students. In his speech Rev. Fr Matthew Muriyankarayil, the principal thanked everyone specially those who were instrumental in bringing the structure into present and concrete form, especially the Provincial Rev. Fr Sabu Francis MSFS for taking initiative and FAsCE India director Rev. Fr Antony Kattathara and staff, Manos Unidas Spain the funding agency, and others who contributed in different ways. Other distinguished guests also expressed their excitement about the development and the positive impact it would bring on the learning environment. In their speech the chief guest and dignitaries highlighted the importance of modern facilities in shaping the future of education and thanked the school authorities and management for their effort in bringing up the community in this locality.
