St. Francis de Sales School Lengpui

St. Francis de Sales School, Lengpui, is one of the recent educational initiatives of the MSFS Guwahati Province, established in response to the persistent demand of the local community for a Catholic educational institution. The pioneering work of starting the school was entrusted to Rev. Fr. Francis Thadathil MSFS, who, with the support of village leaders, parents, and the Provincial Administration, successfully set up the school infrastructure.

The school was formally inaugurated on May 15, 2017, by Rev. Fr. George Panthanmackel MSFS, the Provincial, and was blessed by Most Rev. Stephen Rotluanga, Bishop of Aizawl.

With the motto “Learning for Excellence,” the school aims to instill dedication, hard work, and the pursuit of excellence among students. In its first academic year, the school began with classes from KG I to Class II and 148 students, with plans to upgrade one class each academic year. At present, the institution functions with five teaching staff, including the Headmaster, and one non-teaching staff, and continues to grow steadily in service to the educational needs of the region.
