St. Francis de Sales Secondary School Umwahlang

Roman Catholic L.P. School, Umwahlang, was established in 1992 and was later upgraded to an Upper Primary School in 2006. In 2014, the school was further upgraded and renamed St. Francis de Sales Secondary School.

The first batch of Class X students appeared for the board examination in 2015 and achieved encouraging results. To improve the quality of education and facilities, a new school building was constructed and completed in 2012.

The institution continues to expand its services, and the construction of a boys’ hostel, girls’ hostel, convent for the St. Ann Sisters, and a dispensary building is currently nearing completion, which will further support the educational and social needs of the local community.
