Don Bosco Secondary School, Mawkhlam

Mary Mother of Compassion Parish, Mawkhlam, manages a network of educational institutions that includes one Secondary School at the centre, six Lower Primary Schools, and four Upper Primary Schools in the surrounding villages.

The Secondary School at Mawkhlam, offering classes up to Class X, was taken over from the village church soon after the erection of the parish. Since February 2012, the school has been administered by the parish.

At present, Don Bosco Secondary School, Mawkhlam has around 312 students from Nursery to Class X, guided by 15 teachers along with the parish priest serving as the Headmaster. Three religious sisters are also actively involved in the teaching ministry.

Under the dedicated management of the fathers and staff, the academic performance of the school has steadily improved, particularly in the Matriculation examinations.
